The Fortuna Tierra Club will sponsor the 3rd Annual Log Hill Hustle, Fun Run and fundraiser on Sunday, August 26th. We will offer three different courses; 1 mile, 5K and 10K for runners, walkers, and baby strollers. The courses will be through the roads of Fairway Pines with a start at the mailbox kiosks for Log Hill Village and a finish at the Log Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Station #2.
At the 2nd Annual Log Hill Hustle had great participation with 78 participants mostly from Colorado but also from Missouri, New Mexico, New Jersey, and Texas. Fortuna Tierra had 50-60 volunteers from the club and the community to assist us. John Clark was the master of ceremonies and Dan Quigley from San Juan Runners announced the winners of the races and assisted us with course set-up. We had very generous sponsors. We gave out 17 bib prize drawings. We want to thank our participants, sponsors, and volunteers. Fortuna Tierra's net profit for the fundraiser in 2017 was close to $10,000 which will be used to provide scholarships for Ridgway High School graduates and for other educational needs. |
