5TH ANNUAL LOG HILL HUSTLE
FORTUNA TIERRA CLUB'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY!
The Fortuna Tierra Club hosted, virtually, the fifth annual Log Hill Hustle, Fun Run and fundraiser starting on Sunday, August 30th at 8 AM and finishing on Tuesday, September 8th at 5 PM.
After much thought, research, and consideration, we decided to continue on with our 5K and 10K races in the safest way possible - VIRTUALLY! Racers had from August 30th through September 8th to complete either a 3.1 or 6.2 mile trek--running, jogging, walking; even with baby strollers and dogs. RM Timing gathered the results and sent out racer certificates. This year Fortuna Tierra Club had a contest for student runners to collect sponsors. Only two student runners in the secondary school participated and donated their prizes. Sponsor donations are used to provide scholarships for secondary school graduates who are Ridgway residents. FTC also funds purchases of educational materials and equipment to enhance the K-12 student learning experience. |
