Fortuna Tierra

Mission:  Fortuna Tierra Club is a women's club organized to promote neighbors coming together to give aid and support when needed and raise funds for local philanthropic endeavors.

Fortuna Tierra Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It was organized by women on Log Hill Mesa in 1970 to give aid and support to neighbors.  All FTC fundraising proceeds remain in the Ridgway community. FTC funds are used to provide scholarships for high school graduates who live within the Ridgway school district boundaries. FTC also assists the Ridgway community in funding purchases of educational materials and equipment to enhance the PK-12 student learning experience in the Ridgway schools, volunteer fire department, senior citizens and other community needs.

Activities in the past years have included a fundraiser named the Log Hill Hustle, a Fun Run with 5k and 10k races through the roads of Fairway Pines, raising funds through invitational golf tournaments, Christmas home tours, garden shows, art show and sale, craft fair sale and other activities. These efforts are organized to provide on-going funds for our scholarships and other educational needs, to enhance the quality of life on the Mesa, and other philanthropic endeavors.

And we have fun! We provide a place for neighbors to meet and work together, and appreciate our beautiful environment.
